Anne-Marie Benjamin, LPC

Anne-Marie Benjamin, LPC, CHT, is a licensed professional counselor and a certified Hakomi therapist. She has been in private practice since 1998, and has been providing clinical supervision to registered state interns since 2008.

Her early training in mindfulness practices included a five-year residency in a Zen Buddhist monastery, where she was intensively immersed in a meditation practice; as well as studies in martial arts. Subsequently, she attended the Naropa University, earning her Master in Contemplative Psychotherapy.

Anne-Marie is also an adjunct supervisor with the M.E.T.A. Counseling Clinic since  2011, providing clinical supervision to mental health graduate students on an as-needed basis. She is committed to facilitating the synthesis of mindful and experiential approaches with each intern’s individual counseling style, and skill level. Drawing from her years in the field, and extensive training in mindfulness practices, she enhances the quality of both client and intern experience through her clinical wisdom.
