Krista Barlow is a nutritionist, certified health coach, and adjunct faculty member at NUNM. She grew up in the beautiful redwoods of Northern California and has called Portland her home for over 10 years. Krista received her BS in Public Health from Portland State University, where she focused her studies on holistic disease prevention and food security and sovereignty. She later received her Master of Science in Nutrition from NCNM (now NUNM). As an adjunct faculty member, she developed the Lifestyle and Wellness and Functional Nutrition courses with the intention of sharing methods of reducing chronic stress to all facets of nutrition.

Krista believes that nutrition is the most powerful tool to optimal health and vitality. She understands that navigating the complex world of diet and nutrition can be daunting. In Krista’s private practice, her approach is patient-centered and comprehensive. She works in partnership with her clients to educate, empower and support them while making dietary and lifestyle shifts.

Krista has trained in Muay Thai for eight years and is a certified Muay Thai instructor through the Thai Boxing Association of America. She co-created and ran the Women’s Muay Thai program at Portland Thai Boxing and Martial Arts. Alongside Muay Thai, she enjoys activities such as traveling, hiking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her friends, family and her pug, Millie.
