Dr. Sonia Kapur is a board-certified, high-complexity clinical laboratory director with over 20 years of experience in clinical laboratories and biologics. She is a global authority in novel laboratory testing technologies of the future, including dried blood and other body fluids in micro-sampling formats.

Dr. Kapur spent over 15 years of her career directing the laboratory testing services at several CLIA-certified laboratories, where she was responsible for managing a staff of 50+, and developing and assisting in commercializing innovative, simple and convenient laboratory test methods. In addition to the commercial components, she has also partnered with universities, government entities (such as NIH and CDC), and private health organizations on their IRB-approved research studies. Dr. Kapur has extensive experience in driving collaborations between functions, stakeholders and partners across businesses. She is a highly sought clinical laboratory consultant, with dozens of peer-reviewed publications and abstracts, as well as numerous invited presentations.

In addition to her passion for advanced laboratory sciences, Dr. Kapur enjoys educating physicians and other healthcare providers. While directing the overall operations of the clinical laboratory at NUNM, she continues to teach students about how laboratory tests involve much more than just knowing why those tests are done and how to make sense of the test results.
