Dr. Suzanne Lawton died peacefully Jan. 26, 2010, from uterine cancer. After graduation, Dr. Lawton opened a practice in Tigard, Oregon, where she treated both children and adults with Asperger Syndrome. She also continued to study and practice classical homeopathy, leading study groups and workshops on practical home applications.
Dr. Lawton wrote and lectured extensively on a number of topics, with a particular focus on autism spectrum disorders. In 2007, she published Asperger Syndrome: Natural Steps Toward a Better Life. Dr. Lawton joined NUNM’s faculty in 2005, where she taught about mental health conditions and treatments, and the connection of mind and body to disease.
