NUNM’s School of Graduate Studies is seeking an adjunct academic faculty member to co-supervise the course: Clinical Practicum. Adjunct faculty members perform instructional duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies, and procedures of the University and appropriate to the individual assignment. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor, and facilitator of learning.
Program: Master of Science in Integrative Mental Health
Course Name: GSMH614: Clinical Practicum
Term: Summer 2019, Wednesdays from 8-12

Clinical shifts specialize in mental health concerns and provide students an opportunity to integrate and apply skills in assessment, active listening, psychotherapeutic processing, psychopharmacology, cultural competence, case conceptualization and documentation, and self-evaluation; honing their skills as integrative mental healthcare practitioners. Format: clinical rotation; students see patients as student practitioners and are overseen by an attending clinician and co-supervisor.
Applicants must have education, experience, skill and knowledge in the area they will be teaching. Master’s degree in counseling or related educational field required, doctoral degree preferred. Minimum of three years of counseling experience (or related field); Demonstrated supervisory skills and experience; Must have an interest and ability in working collaboratively with the attending physician.
