The Fundraising and Community Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in the Development Department in overseeing on-the-ground efforts of donor and alumni events, continuing education (CE) activities including coordination of area communications efforts. This individual will also serve as database backup and donor acknowledgment support.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and/or support Continuing Education (CE) events (including mixers) (5x), donor events (1-3x), Alumni events (annual AANP and OANP events), and President’s events (1-2) under the direction of Chief of Staff and Strategic Engagement by managing, schedules, reservations, planning with venues, caterers, emcees, and other vendors, and budgets.

Collaborate and coordinate with marketing all events communications and/or collateral. Day of/onsite coordination of events, including set-up and tear down.

Oversee and coordinate various e-newsletters including Alumni (4x), President’s Office (as needed), CE (2xpermonth), and university donors (4-6x).

Overall area of focus will include continuing education and fundraising, specifically:

Continuing Education:

  • Coordinate speaker materials, flights, travels, etc.
  • Payment processing, accounting, check requests for speakers
  • Payment processing and accounting for campus room rentals
  • Managing CE requests
  • Coordination of CME credits
  • Assist supervision of work study students for CE events

Fundraising:

  • Donor database support
  • Acknowledgment support
  • Secure and coordinate donations to support events

Provide top quality “customer” (donor) service

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with other department events
  • Board of Directors travel
  • Board of Directors meeting packets
  • Serve as support for Board Portal
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years communications and/or fundraising experience required. Understanding of continuing education a plus.

A qualified candidate must be able to handle projects across departments, possess exceptional writing skills; critical thinking and time management skills; as well as exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.

MS Suite, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, etc, Filemaker Pro, with Little Green Light (LGL) or other CRM,   experience required.
