NUNM’s College of Classical Chinese Medicine is seeking an adjunct academic faculty member to teach the “Clinical Case Presentation I-III” courses. Adjunct faculty members perform instructional duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies, and procedures of the University and appropriate to the individual assignment. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor and facilitator of learning.

The Clinical Case Presentation series provides a forum for students to apply and integrate the concepts and information learned in their academic courses to clinical scenarios encountered during their Clinical Mentoring Rotation In this course, students will examine and dialogue about cases that they experience on observation shift, teaching cases presented by their instructor and live cases facilitated by their instructor. Peers are invited to give their comments and thus a discussion is conducted. Rather than examining for what has been done, this class will be an opportunity to take a step back and as a group look at a case from a variety of Classical Chinese Medical Perspectives: Using their training in Chinese Cosmology they will form a bridge to understand the case from Zang-Fu, 6 conformations, and 5 Element lenses allowing the classroom education to enter the clinical realm.

Eligible applicants for this position must have graduated with at least a master’s degree from an accredited Acupuncture and Chinese medicine institution in China or North America, and be a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of Oregon. They must be hold expertise in the content area of the course and have a minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience.
