POSITION DESCRIPTION

Teaching assistants (TAs) perform a variety of duties in support of academic courses and faculty members.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching assistants perform a variety of academic duties including:

• Assist in evaluation, grading and feedback based on established rubrics
• Set up and clean up the teaching space
• Assist with needling techniques and point location during class
• Moderate discussion forums
• Upload/input grades
• Perform background research and assemble course materials
• Set up and/or clean up the teaching space
• Assist during class
• Other tasks as assigned by the instructor

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Active Oregon LAc license.

They must have either successfully passed the courses for which they are assisting, or equivalent courses. Experience with learning management software is strongly preferred. Prior teaching, tutoring or other related experience is preferred.

PAY AND BENEFITS

• $20.00 an hour Base Wage
• 25% discount at NUNM Medicinary

 

This in-person position will be based at our campus in Portland, Oregon.
