Adjunct Clinical Faculty members perform instructional and clinical duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies, and procedures of the College and appropriate to the individual assignment. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor and facilitator of learning.
DESCRIPTION:
Basic duties include the following:
- Describe the clinical presentation of common homeopathic remedies in a lecture-based format.
- Describe indications, contraindications, safety, and monitoring of homeopathic medicines in a lecture-based format.
- Use electronic databases, locate and analyze/apply evidence informed information related to homeopathy in a lecture-based format.
- Provide case-based examples of how homeopathy is utilized in clinical practice in a lecture-based format.
- Explain the role of homeopathy in the context of naturopathic primary care in a lecture-based format.
- Work collaboratively with the Dean and the Associate Dean of Clinical Sciences of the ND program.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctoral degree (ND preferred)
- Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge in homeopathy.
Academic Education duties include the following:
- Must be able to teach in a didactic setting, including use of active learning techniques and development of student learning objectives.
- Will be expected to work with other teachers in team teaching setting.
- Teach/facilitate assigned educational experiences, including such activities as lecture and problem-based small group study.
- Develop and manage educational and evaluative experiences for a diverse population of students.
- Collaborate with administrators and faculty in assessment of individual teaching effectiveness and the effectiveness of the curriculum while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assess student learning outcomes and make or recommend appropriate course or program modifications based on results.
- Review, update, and maintain syllabi in collaboration with other faculty and administrators in accordance with NUNM policies, procedures, and practices.
- Post and maintain office hours as stipulated in current policy.
- Establish and maintain student instructional records, and submit grades in a timely manner.
- Complete and submit self-evaluations, reports and other documents as assigned or requested in a timely manner.
