POSITION DESCRIPTION
As part of the curriculum at NUNM, Standardized Patients provide in-class patient simulation and may choose to undergo physical examinations to support student learning. Standardized Patients also participate in exams that students take to measure their educational progress (OSCES).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Standardized Patients have the opportunity to model for invasive or non-invasive exams. This position is specific for our Proctology Lab on February 26th from 2-5pm.

 

INVASIVE EXAM MODELS ($45.00 an hour)

Proctology SPs undergo rectal examinations. Students will perform digital rectal exams (with prostate palpation in SP who have prostates) and anoscopic exams. SPs can be any gender. SPs will have a maximum of 6 exams in a 3-hour period (3 exams per 1.5 hour lab session).

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Experience being a medical model before, with being a proctology model preferred.

PAY AND BENEFITS

  • $35.00 – $45.00 an hour Base Wage

 

This in-person position will be based at our campus in Portland, Oregon.
