Camella (Mia) Potter, ND received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine.  Dr. Potter attended the University of California, Berkeley for undergraduate studies where she obtained her Bachelor degree in Nutritional Science. Before attending naturopathic medical school, she worked in nutritional research at Oregon Health and Science University and the Cancer Prevention Institute of California (formerly Northern California Cancer Center).  She also worked in research with breast cancer survivors and men with prostate cancer at Oregon Health and Science University. She spent time working overseas in Senegal, West Africa. She also served as a nutritionist in a medical office and for the Child Care Food Program.

After completing medical school and becoming a licensed physician, Dr. Potter began working at a thriving integrative primary care clinic with nurse practitioners, an osteopathic doctor, medical doctor, chiropractor and behavioral health specialists. With over 2,000 patient appointments in one year, she incorporates her extensive primary care experience into relevant teaching case studies. Aside from serving as adjunct faculty at NUNM, Dr. Potter sees patients in private practice at Selah Natural Medicine. She has also been trained and specializes in natural foot care at Northwest Foot & Ankle.

Dr. Potter was formally a competitive gymnast and ultimate Frisbee player. She currently participates in yoga, running, biking, boot camp classes and keeping up with her son. She is passionate about educating and empowering people to have healthier lives. Teaching and equipping graduate students is an avenue in which many people can be encouraged towards more optimal health.
