Dr. Ericha Clare completed her undergraduate work at Portland State University (PSU) in biochemistry, after which she worked as a research assistant in OHSU’s Physiology and Pharmacology department. She then merged her love of health and nutrition with science and medicine, and enrolled at NUNM, graduating with a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Acupuncture.

Dr. Clare’s love for teaching has been followed her throughout her studies. She taught general chemistry labs at PSU, and tutored her peers at NUNM in biochemistry, a required first-year course in all medical schools. Small weekly tutor sessions during the school year became a three-day intensive workshop that prepared ND students for national board exams. Dr. Clare offered this workshop every summer for 11 years. Since 1999, Dr. Clare has taught a variety of medical courses at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. In addition to teaching, she managed the continuing education program at NUNM, leaving her post as the director in October 2014 to allow more time for clinical practice.

Dr. Clare is a licensed naturopathic physician in Oregon and Washington, and a licensed acupuncturist in Washington. She recently took over a retiring naturopathic physician’s practice in Vancouver, Washington. Dr. Clare is an adjunct instructor for NUNM’s MScN program, teaching health coaching; and for NUNM’s MSIMR program, teaching anatomy and physiology.
