Dr. Jacqui McGrath is a naturopathic physician and educator. Her interest in health and healing began in 1980 when her mother successfully used “Nature Cure” to deal with a serious illness. Dr. McGrath became fascinated with the psychology of health and especially how people’s beliefs affect their susceptibility to different types of diseases, as well as their response to different types of treatment.

After earning an undergraduate degree in anthropology at the University of Florida in 1994, Dr. McGrath went on to study independently with natural healers in Latin America for several years before her formal naturopathic education. After graduating from NCNM (now NUNM), she completed a year-long clinical residency in Mexico’s public health system and then founded U Najil Ts’aak, a community health NGO in the southern Yucatan peninsula. In addition, Dr. McGrath has been in private practice, worked with the Life Extension Foundation, and developed and taught undergraduate and MPH courses at Everglades University in Florida. She is also excited to be dedicating much of her time to her own son, born in May of 2015.
