An All-New, Accelerated Pathway To Earning Your ND
The National University of Naturopathic Medicine is thrilled to announce that we’re now offering an accelerated, 3-year ND track.
Students interested in earning their Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree now have yet another option in how they choose to achieve their goals.
This new pathway, revealed just this month by the university, now sits beside our three other pathways for earning your ND. Before adding this most-recent option, students were free to choose from 3.5 year (1st year online), 4-year (1st year online), 4-year, and 5-year curriculum pathways.
Students who are interested in applying for the accelerated 3-year ND pathway must meet the following prerequisite requirements:
- A science GPA of 3.5 or higher (general biology with lab, general chemistry with lab, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, etc.)
- Individualized academic counseling before acceptance into the track
- Evaluation of prior academic load and performance in upper-division science coursework by the program dean or provost
These requirements were designed to ensure that all applicants have met the necessary standards in science education prior to seeking admittance to NUNM while also ensuring that they can meet the rigorous demands of an accelerated ND program.
Most quarters throughout the three-year program feature high concentrations of credit hours focusing on challenging but enlightening material. Students considering this program should be equipped with resilient and curious attitudes, ready to meet the challenges of an already comprehensive program.
An Accelerated, Comprehensive Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine Education
NUNM is offering a 3-year ND program with the same rich, rigorous experience of our other ND pathways. The accelerated pace of the program still meets every academic and clinical requirement associated with earning your Doctor of Naturopathic medicine degree.
In a 3-year period, students will cover 4,100 instructional hours, earning nearly 270 credits across science, medicine, therapeutics, ethics, and more, in their pursuit of gaining a whole-person understanding of Naturopathic Medicine.
In addition to the 4,100 instructional hours that our ND students undergo, all four ND pathways also include clinical training hours.
Students will spend over 1,200 supervised, hands-on clinical training hours designed to expose them to real-life clinical situations, learn patient interaction skills, and gain the confidence and competence needed to take their knowledge into the real world of Naturopathic Medicine.
At NUNM, You Have Options In Earning Your ND
Everyone learns at their own pace. Everyone’s lives have their own shape.
In order to best meet the diverse needs of ND students while offering the same rich educational experience, NUNM has created five distinct learning pathways for earning your ND.
No matter which pathway you choose, you’ll cover the same coursework and will be responsible for earning the same number of credits and hands-on clinical hours. These pathways are structured at different rates in order to best accommodate your lifestyle and the pace and environments in which you learn best.
