NUNM offers a variety of options for earning your Nutrition Science degree

At NUNM, we offer students a variety of options for earning their Nutrition Science education. 

For those seeking an undergraduate degree, we offer a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BScN) — a 2-year, 99-credit program centered on learning fundamentals in nutrition, natural science, and social sciences. 

This is the ideal program for students who have already completed the first two years of their undergraduate curriculum and are interested in learning how diet impacts health. 

While students are encouraged to attend in-person to fully experience NUNM’s Portland campus community, the BScN program is offered as an online option. 

For those students who have completed their undergraduate coursework and are seeking a more advanced degree, NUNM offers a Master of Science in Nutrition (MScN). 

The MScN builds on foundational concepts learned in the undergraduate program to explore more advanced concepts and techniques, including those related to biomedical science, ethics and cultural sensitivity, and the clinical application of nutrition science. 

MScN students have the option to specialize in either Clinical or Culinary Nutrition, allowing graduates to apply their skills in a variety of health, wellness, research, and community settings.

The Master of Science in Nutrition program is a 2–3 year, 70-credit program. Like our BScN offering, MScN can be taken online. 

Our online offerings mirror the same curriculum and rigorous educational experience as our in-person offerings, but allow for greater flexibility for those who have different lifestyle needs and commitments.

The Health Sciences world is diverse, and life at NUNM exposes students to a wide range of studies and disciplines.
