Behind every scholarship is a student with a story, a dream, and a vision for making a difference.

National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) is proud to award $236,000 in scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year, supporting students pursuing careers in naturopathic medicine, Chinese medicine, nutrition, and integrative healthcare.

Made possible through the generosity of alumni, donors, and friends of the university, these scholarships do more than help cover tuition. They ease financial pressures, allowing students to focus more fully on their education while offering something equally meaningful: the knowledge that others believe in their potential and are invested in their success. And that investment extends well beyond graduation, as these future healthcare professionals carry their knowledge, compassion, and commitment into the communities they will serve.

Investing in Students, Investing in the Future

This year’s scholarship recipients bring a remarkable range of experiences and aspirations to NUNM. Some are returning to school after years in other careers. Others are first-generation college students, or parents balancing family responsibilities with the demands of their education.

What connects them is a shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of others.

For Temilola Adedipe, recipient of the Percy and Adrienne Frazier Memorial Scholarship, that commitment extends across continents.

“Receiving the Percy and Adrienne Frazier Scholarship means someone believes the world I am working toward is not only possible, but worth investing in.”

Adedipe is pursuing degrees in naturopathic medicine and global health, and hopes to establish integrative healthcare facilities in Nigeria that bring traditional healing practices together with modern medical science.

Rudo Duri, a 4th year medical student pursuing a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine, Master of Science in Clinical Research, and certificate of Natural Childbirth/Midwifery, shared how scholarship support makes it possible to focus on serving communities that have historically faced barriers to healthcare:

“This scholarship means I can worry less about finances and focus on why I came here, to serve communities that don’t always have a seat at the healthcare table. Medicine is one of the most powerful ways to show love, and I am grateful to have donors who believe in that mission.”

Making Education Possible

For many students, scholarship support can make the difference between continuing their education and putting their dreams on hold.

Isabella Taylor, a full-time student who also works as a social worker, shared that financial pressures had nearly forced her to take a break from school. Receiving a scholarship provided the support needed to continue her degree while preparing to welcome their first child.

For others, scholarships create opportunities to pursue additional training and experiences that will shape their future careers.

“Receiving the Innovation in Wellbeing Scholarship has not only helped me pay for tuition but has also given me the confidence to dream big in this field,” said Paige Frank-Newton, a 2nd year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine student. “It has reminded me that there are people who believe in the same dreams I do and are willing to support me along the way.”

A Community That Believes in What’s Possible

This year’s awards were made possible through 12 scholarships funds, including the Peterson Family Scholarship, Alumni and Friends Scholarship, Innovation in Wellbeing Scholarship, and the Bob and Charlee Moore Memorial Scholarship.

Each scholarship represents a commitment to helping students succeed and strengthening the future of integrative healthcare.

To our generous donors, thank you for believing in our students and the difference they will make.

Your generosity is helping turn their aspirations into opportunities, one scholarship at a time.
