Dr. Hanes is particularly interested in data analysis methods and research study design. He currently mentors one student project in the MSIMR program and consults on research efforts as a member of the Helfgott Research Institute. Hanes currently works as a biostatistician supporting cancer research for Providence and continues to hold an affiliate faculty appointment in the Fariborz Maseeh Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Portland State University.
