Dr. Brenda Hood earned her Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Alberta; her Bachelor of Chinese Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine; and her PhD in Taoist Philosophy from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; followed by a postdoctoral appointment at Guangzhou University. While living in China for more than two decades, Dr. Hood traveled the countryside to seek out masters of classical Chinese medicine, studying the ancient knowledge and practices compromised during the nation’s Cultural Revolution.
