Deb Espesete, MPH, MAcOM, LAc

Deb Espesete, MPH, MAcOM, DiplOM, LAc earned her BA from Macalester College in 1990, her MAcOM from OCOM in 2000, and her MPH in epidemiology and biostatistics from Oregon Health & Science University in 2012. Ms. Espesete has been in private practice since 2000 in Portland, Oregon. She taught integrative medicine research, issues in public health, field research at Kam Wah Chung heritage site, and acupuncture and herbal clinical skills at OCOM from 2006-2024; and Soaring Crane Qigong at the Cancer Care Centers at Providence Health Systems from 2005-2013. Her additional training includes state emergency response volunteer requirements, and an internship with Kelly Jenkins, D.V.M. on small animal acupuncture, herbal formulas and nutritional advice from 2009 to 2011. Ms. Espesete had been a commissioner with Oregon Health Authority’s Health Evidence Review Commission and then Evidence-based Guidelines Subcommittee since 2020, and has been a member of NUNM’s faculty since 2024.
