Dr. Chan graduated from NUNM (formerly known as NCNM) in 2014 and completed two years of family medicine residency at NUNM followed by a 3rd year of residency as the Heart and Lung resident shared by NUNM and Center for Natural Medicine.

During her first two years of residency, she completed family medicine rotations in both naturopathic and conventional outpatient clinics. Additionally, she has also spent over two years rotating with a conventional cardiologist in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

As the Cardiology and Pulmonology Course Director, she is responsible for development and implementation of the Cardiology and Pulmonology curriculum in the ND program. She is also the primary instructor for the course and teaches students how to diagnose and manage cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions both in the classroom and clinic. Her clinical interest is primarily in the realm of primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease by way of evidence-informed naturopathic treatment of hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, coronary artery disease, and heart failure.

She is skilled in the interpretation of 12-lead ECGs and office spirometry and teaches an elective course that allows students to further their skills in these areas.

When not working, Dr. Chan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, bowling, being an amateur photographer, listening to music, and traveling.
