Dana Dharmakaya Colgan Colgan, PhDPost-doctoral Research Investigator
Dr. Colgan is a post-doctoral research investigator, licensed psychologist, and yoga therapist at the Helfgott Research Institute, receiving training through the NIH-funded BRIDG R90 program. She obtained a PhD in Clinical Psychology specializing in cognitive assessment, integrated healthcare, and mind-body medicine. Subsequently, she completed a four-year T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health and Science University to acquire advanced training in behavioral neuroscience, neuropsychology, and mind-body medicine. She employs mixed-methods approaches and community-based participatory research strategies to investigate nonpharmaceutical interventions that may shape adaptive responses to pain and stress, identify drivers of wellness and resilience, and develop, optimize, and evaluate treatment outcomes of multicomponent mind-body and nutrition therapies for neurological disease and infection-associated chronic illness.
