Dr. Tibbitts is an Affiliate Research Investigator in the Helfgott Research Institute. Her passion for research is guided by a desire to understand the interconnection of biological and psychosocial phenomena. Dr. Tibbitts received her PhD in Molecular and Medical Genetics from Oregon Health and Science University in 2011, and a certificate in Human Investigations from OHSU in 2019. She completed clinical research training in complementary and integrative health in the NCCIH-funded R90 program Building Research across Interdisciplinary Gaps (BRIDG) at NUNM. Her research interests include the use of mind-body interventions, such as trauma-informed yoga, to promote emotional wellbeing in high-stress populations.
