
Mark SoddersAssistant Research Investigator
Dr. Mark Sodders is an Assistant Research Investigator at the Helfgott Research Institute. He earned his Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) degree at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and a Master of Science (Health Services, Clinical and Translational Research) degree at the University of Washington. He is a former Sr. Fellow Trainee in the T90 Building Research across Inter-Disciplinary Gaps (BRIDG) clinical research training program at the University of Washington, and a former KL2 Scholar and Sr. Fellow with the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center (HIPRC) for a National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) administrative supplement to the KL2 Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Career Development Program at the Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS), also at the University of Washington. Dr. Sodders’ research focused on family caregivers of individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI), language barriers during prehospital care, and acupuncture for TBI and other complex pain conditions. His current research interests continue his interest in non-pharmacologic interventions for clinical sequelae related to TBI.
