Last week, investigators at Helfgott Research Institute were notified that their study, “Probiotics for the prevention of pediatric antibiotic-associated diarrhea,” was one of the top 10 percent most downloaded from the Cochrane Review Library. Congratulations to investigator Josh Goldenburg, ND, and to the whole research team at Helfgott! The Cochrane Review is considered to be the international gold standard for systemic reviews, and we’re proud to have the research team that produced such an informative and popular study within the publication.

Last year, Dr. Goldenburg published the study, which reviews over 33 studies with 6,352 participants. He concluded that there is a “moderate protective effect of probiotics” on pediatric antibiotic-associate diarrhea. Read the published study.
