NUNM recently joined the RAND’s Center for Collaborative Research in Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) as a research advisory board member. The RAND Corporation launched their new center in February with the goal of bolstering research expertise and participation at colleges that train practitioners in CIH.
NUNM is one of 10 chiropractic and naturopathic medicine colleges to be a part of the center. Participating will help add to our research infrastructure, strengthen resources to add new research programs, and collaborate with RAND scientists.
Dr. Ryan Bradley, Director of NUNM’s Helfgott Research Institute, is leading our partnership with RAND. His long-term plans for the partnership include:
- Writing collaborative grants with RAND
- Aiding our investigators in identifying research collaborators for their research interests
- Collaborating with other CIH institutions on shared research grants
- Participating in the development of CIH practice-based research networks
