Chinese medicine instructor’s new role highlights a decade of instruction and practice.

The National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) has promoted faculty member Dr. Ken Glowacki to full professor, effective July 1.
Glowacki previously served as associate faculty in NUNM’s College of Classical Chinese Medicine. In his new role, he will continue to teach core courses in the Chinese medicine program, including acupuncture theory and advanced acu-moxa techniques.
Before joining NUNM, Glowacki chaired the acupuncture, bodywork and qi cultivation department at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where he oversaw curriculum development, faculty support and student academic affairs.
Dr. Heather Zwickey, NUNM’s provost and vice president of research and academic excellence, made the announcement:
“With a doctorate in Chinese Medicine and a Master’s in Education, Dr. Glowacki has shared his expertise and passion with our students since 2014,” Zwickey said. “This promotion is a testament to his dedication to excellence in teaching and mentorship.”
Glowacki earned a master’s degree in education from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California in 1997. He later received his degree, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego in 2016, continuing career in the practice and instruction of Chinese medicine.
Over the years, he has trained in multiple acupuncture styles and studied in Japan under renowned Daoist educator Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen.
Glowacki has lectured at conferences and seminars across the United States and maintains a clinical practice, Acuarts, specializing in Classical Chinese Medicine.
