According to the World Health Organization, global health is the health of populations in a global context and transcends the perspectives and concerns of individual nations. Naturopathic and traditional medicine, in essence, is global health at its core. At NUNM, global health is taught in all of our courses, as we pull from cultural traditions that have been passed on for centuries.
While working within ancient traditions, NUNM also works within a modern context, through incorporating cultural competency in a variety of courses. Taking a step beyond this, the Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research and Master of Science in Global Health programs offers global health experiences in order to facilitate the physical transcendence of borders in expanding global health.
