Help us learn if supplementing with the same sugar that occurs in human milk improves the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome by participating in our research study.
No blood draws are required.
Eligible participants will receive a free report on their microbiota, as well as up to $1,000.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are age 18-70 years
- Have an existing diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome
- Are willing to be randomized to take either a prebiotic-containing supplement or a control supplement three times daily for 6 weeks
- Are willing to collect stool samples at home on three occasions
- Can attend a screening visit plus 3 study visits at the Helfgott Research Institute in Portland, OR.
