Seven naturopathic physicians continue clinical training as part of NUNM’s competitive residency program.
Seven experienced and skilled naturopathic physicians make up the 2024-25 team of residents at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM).
The residency program at NUNM, the first of its kind at a naturopathic medicine institution, assists and guides new graduates in gaining a wide range of clinical experiences.
“These bright and talented individuals bring not only their passion and expertise but also a deep commitment to patient care and medical education,” said Dr. Dee Saunders, the Associate Vice President of Clinical Education and Administration at NUNM. “Over the next year, they will be touching the lives of countless patients while playing an integral role in shaping the educational journeys of our students.”
As part of the residency program, residents may gain experience by completing rotations in women’s health, physical medicine, IV therapy, minor surgery, primary care, community medicine and more at the NUNM Health Centers, a Tier 3 Patient-Centered Primary Care Home on the university’s campus in Portland, Oregon.
The 2024-25 team of residents includes:
- Nozomi Gonzalez, ND, third-year

- Danielle Melvin, ND, second-year, split-site
- Kailee Phillips, ND, second-year
- Hannah Pratt, ND, second-year
- Eden Everson, ND, first-year

“We have no doubt that their skills, dedication, and compassion will have a lasting impact on our community, both in the clinic and the classroom,” Saunders said.
