Black Maternal & Child Health Lunchtime Talk with Maria Kropf
June 14 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Event Navigation
Did you know that Black maternal deaths have more than doubled over the last 20 years in Oregon? And 80% of maternal deaths are preventable!
The biggest contributing factor is overall healthcare. A large factor in infant mortality is maternal care. Every provider & health ally who works with a Black girl or woman of childbearing age has the opportunity to change these outcomes.
We are excited to host Maria Kropf of the Healthy Birth Initiative (also an advocate for Black healthcare justice and a proud Black mother) for a discussion about how we can make Oregon (and the rest of the U.S.) healthier for Black women & infants.
When: Friday, June 14 at Noon-1pm
Where: NUNM Academic Building, Room 204
