He has held teaching and clinical positions at multiple Chinese medicine institutions across the United States and brings over 18 years of clinical experience to his work. Prior to relocating to Portland, he operated a private clinic in South Florida.
As a fifth-generation Chinese medicine practitioner, Dr. Li began his formal training at an early age in China. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese medicine and a master’s degree in Chinese Materia Medica from China, as well as a master’s degree in exercise physiology from a U.S. university. As an accomplished author, he has published multiple bestselling books on Amazon. Since 2009, he has actively taught preparatory courses for the national acupuncture licensure exams in the U.S., benefiting thousands of students worldwide. In recent years, he pioneered the innovative interdisciplinary concept of “Social & Health Studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHSTCM),” integrating social and health sciences into Chinese medicine research. This has empowered overseas Chinese medicine practitioners to conduct independent research and provided effective solutions for doctoral students at international Chinese medicine institutions to complete their dissertations.
