Third-Year Residents

Lindsay Johnson, NDMedical Resident

Dr. Lindsay Johnson is a licensed naturopathic physician completing her first year of residency at NUNM. She graduated from NUNM in 2023 after completing her undergraduate degree at Portland State University. Prior to this, she got her license in massage therapy at East West College of the Healing Arts in 2010 and worked alongside chiropractic physicians until starting medical school.

During Dr. Johnson’s time at NUNM she completed rotations in primary care, IV therapy, minor surgery, and homeopathy. Her homeopathy education supplemented by extensive programs through New England School of Homeopathy and The Center for Education and Development of Homeopathy. She has interests of working in primary care in NUNM’s community clinics as well as in rural medicine and addiction medicine. She plans to work in high provider shortage areas/ populations after her residency through Oregon Health Authority’s Scholars of a Healthy Oregon – Naturopathic Opportunity.

Outside of her resident duties, Dr. Johnson enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, moving around outside and spending time with her family.

Kailee Phillips, NDMedical Resident

Dr. Kailee Phillips is a licensed naturopathic physician completing her first year of residency at NUNM. She graduated with her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2023. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Phillips earned her Bachelor of Science from Oregon State University where she majored in biohealth science and received a minor in psychology. During her time there, Dr. Phillips worked at the Survivor Advocacy and Resource Center – a secure and confidential resource center for survivors of both on and off campus sexual assault.

Dr. Phillips’ clinical education included numerous clinical rotations on robust primary care shifts, serving the NUNM community clinics, cardiology, neurology and IV medicine. Her clinical interests include integrative mental health, primary care and treating underserved populations. She is passionate about formulating carefully curated, integrative treatment plans which highlight the principles of naturopathic medicine in a safe, evidenced-based manner.

Outside of the clinic Dr. Phillips enjoys cooking and reading.

Danielle Melvin, NDSplit-Site Resident

Dr. Danielle Melvin is a licensed naturopathic physician completing her first-year residency in general family medicine at NUNM and in integrative women’s health under the supervision of Dr. Tori Hudson at A Women’s Time. She graduated from Sonoran University of Health Sciences in Tempe, AZ with her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Prior to attending medical school, she received her B.S in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Holistic Health from Stockton University.

Dr. Melvin’s clinical interests include women’s health, primary care, sex education, fertility support, and endocrine disorders. Dr. Melvin prioritizes integrative, evidence-based medicine and utilizes a variety of modalities including botanicals, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and more to offer individualized care.

In her free time, Dr. Melvin enjoys attending hot yoga classes, discovering new restaurants, and traveling back home to enjoy the Jersey shore.

First-Year Residents

Danielle D'Mello, NDMedical Resident

Dr. Danielle D’Mello, ND, is a licensed naturopathic physician and first-year resident at NUNM. She earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) and her Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Michigan State University.

Before pursuing naturopathic medicine, Dr. D’Mello completed training as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and phlebotomist—experiences that strengthened her appreciation for integrative, hands-on, patient-centered care. As a primary care physician, she provides comprehensive and individualized medicine for patients with diverse health goals and backgrounds. Her clinical interests include IV therapy, reproductive health, gender-affirming care, integrated mental health, homeopathy, and body-positive, Health at Every Size–aligned care.

Dr. D’Mello’s approach emphasizes the fundamental pillars of health, including nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and community connection, as the foundation for long-term well-being. She believes in a collaborative and empowering approach to medicine, striving to create a space where patients feel seen, supported, and equipped with the tools and confidence to advocate for their own health and healing.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. D’Mello enjoys spending time with her fiancé and two cats, crocheting, meal prepping, and exploring Portland’s many farmer’s markets.

Brianna Worthing, NDMedical Resident

Dr. Brianna Worthing is a first-year resident at NUNM Health Center with clinical interests in women’s health, gastroenterology, and environmental medicine. She is passionate about supporting patients in understanding the connections between their environment, hormones, and digestion to promote whole-person healing. Dr. Worthing brings a grounded and compassionate approach to care, integrating evidence-based naturopathic therapies with a deep respect for each patient’s lived experience. She is committed to advancing health equity and creating inclusive spaces where all patients feel seen and empowered in their healing journeys.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Worthing finds inspiration in reading queer global fiction, playing in nature and with friends, and cultivating creative practices that nourish both personal and collective well-being.

Maggi Weiseman, NDMedical Resident

Dr. Maggi Weiseman is a licensed naturopathic physician completing her first year of residency at NUNM. She graduated from NUNM in 2025 after completing her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and completing Emergency Medical Technician training.

Dr. Weiseman’s clinical education at NUNM focused on building a strong foundation in primary care medicine while also diving into specialty shifts geared towards women’s health, gender affirming care, hands on treatment modalities and IV therapy. She is passionate about slowing down and making medicine intentional to give each patient individualized and supportive care. In her down time, Dr. Weiseman enjoys weight lifting, crocheting, cooking and exploring the PNW.

Lydia Norby-Adams, NDMedical Resident

Dr. Lydia Norby-Adams is a licensed naturopathic physician completing their first year of residency at NUNM. They received both their Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Master of Science in Clinical Research at NUNM in 2025. Prior to their medical training, they completed their undergraduate studies at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Norby-Adams’ clinical interests include primary care, transgender health, and community medicine. During their time at NUNM, they worked with the Science of Nutrition, Affect, and Cognition in Kids (SNACK) Lab at OHSU on multiple research projects exploring micronutrient intervention in children with ADHD. Their research background informs their evidence-based approach to integrative health care.

In their free time, Dr. Norby-Adams enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with their dog, karaoke, and reading.

Eden Jeffries, NDMedical Resident

Dr. Eden Jeffries is a licensed naturopathic physician completing her first year residency at NUNM. She graduated with her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2025. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Jeffries earned her Bachelor of Arts from New York University in Individualized Study with a concentration in cultural studies, creative writing, and community activism.

Dr. Jeffries’ clinical education included clinical rotations and internships in primary care, serving NUNM community clinics, IV Medicine, Women’s Health, integrative mental health, and addiction recovery medicine. She is committed to addressing inequities in healthcare and restoring patient trust through whole-person, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and weight inclusive care. Outside of clinic, Dr. Jeffries enjoys being a foodie by exploring Portland’s robust food scene, forest bathing, reading, and watching crime dramas.
