NUNM Announces Departure of its President Dr. Christine Girard

Portland, Oregon ― The Board of Directors of the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) today announced the departure of its President and CEO Dr. Christine Girard effective September 23, 2020, due to health, family and personal reasons.

The Board expresses its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Girard for all she has given NUNM.  Her dedication, service and accomplishments during a year of unpredictable challenges speaks to her strengths and perseverance. The Board wishes her the best in all of her future endeavors.

The Board has appointed the Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration Gerald Bores as the Acting President while it begins the process of identifying the next President. The Board will work closely with the Acting President and the University Leadership in that search.

“Although we regret Dr. Girard’s departure, we have every confidence in our senior leadership, faculty, staff and students, and for NUNM to continue to deliver on our mission on the foundation we have built since 1956,” said Dr. Christoph Kind, Board Chairperson.
