Study Nutrition at NUNM

Ever wanted to know how childhood nutrition affects patients later into adulthood? Do you consider how family traditions, religious beliefs, and lifestyle choices influence one’s mindset around diet or exercise? If so, studying nutrition at the National University of Natural Medicine may be right for you!

Whether you are looking to pursue a new calling in nutrition or advance your current career, NUNM provides students an opportunity to learn about nutrition with an emphasis on whole-body wellness.

In-Person or Online

Whether you study at our campus in Portland or in one of our engaging online programs, you will receive the same caliber of support from NUNM’s distinguished faculty and form relationships with fellow classmates.

NUNM’s Nutrition programs give future nutritionists and providers a solid scientific foundation in nutrition physiology, enabling them to critically evaluate new studies and emerging research.

Earn Your Master’s, Bachelor’s — or Both

NUNM offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Nutrition, as well as a specialized accelerated degree program — all of which can be completed either in-person or online.

Both the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Master of Science in Nutrition degrees are two-year programs for students looking to gain foundational and expert training in the field of nutrition. We also offer a unique three-year Accelerated Bachelor to Master of Science in Nutrition program as a cost-effective path for students to pursue an advanced degree and become experts in holistic nutrition.

Food as Medicine

NUNM Nutrition follows the philosophy of “Food as Medicine,” which frames nutritional health as unique to the individual, helping students to prioritize a personalized approach to wellness throughout their careers.

All NUNM Nutrition programs — in-person or online, graduate or undergraduate — emphasize the importance of whole, unprocessed foods and how diet can have a profound impact on health. Degree coursework will survey fundamental aspects of nutrition, natural sciences, and social sciences.
