At NUNM, we offer specialized business courses designed to empower healthcare professionals with the essential skills to succeed. Learn to effectively manage, market, and grow your practice with our expert-led programs tailored for Naturopathic Medicine, Chinese Medicine, and Nutrition.

Naturopathic Medicine

This series covers the steps necessary to start and maintain a private naturopathic medical practice, including business operations, management, development, administration, and marketing. Students will also explore other professional paths such as careers in academics, research, consulting, sales, or joining integrative medicine practices.

Chinese Medicine

This four-course series uses a skills-based approach to business education and career development. Students will complete a professional business or career plan for starting a multi-room clinic, a single practitioner business, or finding a position at an integrated clinic or hospital.

Nutrition

Nutritional counseling or being a personal chef requires knowledge of running a small business. This course teaches how to launch and operate a small business, covering business licenses, marketing, and basic accounting.

ND Preceptorships

The Preceptorship Program is an opportunity for Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine students to broaden their clinical skills under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider in practice who is acting as a clinical role model. Beyond hands-on learning, Preceptorships are an excellent way for students to network with practicing physicians, explore various practice and business styles, and build connections that could lead to future employment opportunities.
