Application Process - National University of Natural Medicine

Congratulations on taking the first step toward your future as a healer! The National University of Natural Medicine, has a long history of helping our students

Follow these simple steps to pursue your natural medicine passion:

Identify your program of interest
Check the application requirements and prerequisites
Contact admissions for a free prerequisite course evaluation
Review essay question(s) and prepare your essay according to the instructions
Identify faculty members and/or work supervisors who would be able to complete your recommendations*
Request official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
Submit your application prior to the application deadline
Apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Graduate Degree Programs

All graduate and professional degree candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. Department of Education recognized accredited college or university, or the equivalent (as determined by NUNM) from an institution outside of the United States. Credit will only be given for prerequisite coursework earning a grade of C or better.

Doctor of Naturopathic Program (ND)

Recommendation Forms

Please check for the number of recommendations required for your program. These forms should be completed by persons who know you well and can evaluate your skills and abilities. We look especially for those skills that transfer to the classroom setting (e.g., critical thinking, reasoning, writing, problem solving, professionalism, classroom participation, etc.). If you have been out of school for a while, employers are acceptable references. Recommendations from family members, significant others, or close, personal friends are not viewed favorably by the Admissions Committee.
