Escorts on or near NUNM property
NUNM Safety Officers can escort you to or from your vehicle anywhere within a one block area around the campus for the purpose of maintaining your safety.
Vehicle Jump-Starts
Safety Officers can assist students and staff with jump-starting vehicles as long as written permission is granted.
Limited lock-out assistance
Safety Officers can assist students and staff who are locked out of offices, classrooms, lockers, or bicycle storage. The department does not offer vehicle lock-out assistance.
Lost and found
Items found by or turned into the Public Safety and Security department are kept in the lost and found for a period of 30 days, after which the items are donated. If you believe that you have lost something please check with our department as soon as you can.

Temporary Parking Permits
In some cases Safety Officers can issue temporary parking permits to staff and students. If you have a permit through the university and have misplaced it a temporary pass can be issued for a day or until a new permit is re-issued. If you are visiting the campus for business purposes, temporary permits can be given out by departments who have been allotted temporary permits. For all other purposes day parking permits can be purchased in the campus store for $5.
Reporting Maintenance Issues, Providing Stop Gap Measures

ID Cards and Bus Passes
New or replacement ID cards as well as per term bus passes are issued in the Public Safety and Security Office on the first floor of the Academic Building, room 125.
Replacement ID cards cost $10 to be paid to the Business Office prior to receiving a replacement ID. Bring a copy of your receipt to the Public Safety and Security Office.
Replacement bus passes are pro-rated for the length remaining in the term which should be paid to the Business Office prior to receiving a replacement. Bring a copy of your receipt to the Public Safety and Security Office.
