Let’s Get to Know Each Other
We seek passionate students to join our community of future healers, and the application process is how we get to know you. By carefully evaluating each applicant’s past academic accomplishments alongside professional and volunteer experience, we hope to identify future students with the heart and head to flourish within NUNM’s supportive and demanding academic environment.
Our Admission Committee will be looking for:
- A solid academic record: Our courses are rigorous, and we want to make sure admitted students are set up to succeed. Prerequisites courses must be passed with a grade of a minimum grade of C. An overall minimum GPA of 3.0 is recommended.
- Critical thinking, effective communication, self-awareness, and sense of purpose: The required essays are your platform to let us know who you are, what you value most, and what motivates you.
- Service, leadership, and an affinity for natural medicine: We encourage applicants to use their resume or CV to highlight past experiences outside of academia that speak to your qualifications for studying natural medicine.

Once all application requirements have been received
- After all required items are received, the Admissions Committee will evaluate your qualifications for admission to your chosen program. This process typically takes a minimum of two weeks.
- The final application step for applicants to the ND, DAcCHM, MAcCHM, and MAc programs is an interview with a faculty member and an Admissions representative. Qualified applicants will receive an invitation. If invited to interview, we encourage you to prepare in advance with these tips.
After the Admissions Committee review
- Once the Admission Committee finishes evaluating your application, a decision letter will be posted in your Self Service Center.
- If you are admitted to NUNM, expect a phone call from your admissions counselor in addition to the decision letter visible in the Self Service Center.

- Admitted students must also submit all enrollment requirements for their chosen program by the stated deadlines.
